Goetz Kauschka

Goetz Kauschka has worked in the IT industry for more than 25 years, and is a well regarded and experienced business executive and regional managing director.

One of the co-founders of Microsoft's worldwide Open Borders Program, he has supported many Microsoft partners in their international expansion, through channel development, partner marketing programs, subsidiary settlement, and M&A within the global Microsoft partner ecosystem.

Prior to his work for The OpenBorders Group, Goetz held several international executive positions at Microsoft, e.g. member of the German Subsidiary Management Team as Director Internet Customer Unit. In 2004, he created and managed the ISV Partner Group in Germany, as well as providing leadership guiding Central European Microsoft subsidiaries in the cross-border ISV business. Goetz was also a management member of the German Small and Mid-market Solutions & Partners team (SMS&P), and ISV council member for Microsoft Europe and Microsoft Corporation USA.

Goetz spent six years of his Microsoft career at Microsoft Corporation in Seattle (USA): as General Manager of the Global Partner Group, and as General Manager of the Intercontinental Region (Americas/APAC) of Microsoft's Communication Sector Organization (NSP/CS) - where he was responsible for Microsoft's regional business, global alliances and worldwide partner ecosystem for SaaS, Hosting and Telecommunications.


Further areas of expertise and experience in the IT Partner EcoSystem are as Management Coach, Private Lecturer for Management & Leadership in academic environments and Strategic Business & Marketing Consultant for Company/Image/Products (Re-)Branding.
